Time for an Update
2014-11-5My personal page at malcolmdwyer.com was last touched by me in 2006. "We had a baby" was the final change, made just after our daughter Rory was born. At that time I started sharing photos on a MobileMe photo gallery. A couple years after that I started sharing posts and photos on Facebook. Malcolmdwyer.com languished.
Now I'm ready to get back to building my own site.
In my career, I've been a web developer for several years now — and doing web development in one form or another since 1995. I claim to be some kind of expert at this stuff, so I should be able to do this myself, right?
My goals for the page:
- Standard bloggy type stuff
- A place for web development experiments on any new projects I might come up with.
- A gallery for my photos. I know there are better places to share photos, but building a cool photo gallery is a good exercise.
- A place for other interests...
My goals in working on the page:
- Use node.js
- Use some kind of CSS preprocessor (SASS/LESS/etc.)
- Deploy using git to a PaaS.
- Updated design (obviously)
- Responsive design?
